RAUTAHAT, Dec 12: An elderly man died this morning in a collision between a truck and a car at Chandranigahapur in Rautahat.
The deceased has been identified as Bhakta Bahadur Khatri, 79, a resident of Sigaul in Nijgadh Municipality-3, Bara.

The accident occurred when a truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 1148) traveling west collided with a car (Ba 3 Kha 6193) coming from the opposite direction at Chandranigahapur-4.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rupa Labung of the Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur, confirmed Khatri’s death. Car driver Dinesh Thapaliya and another passenger, Dormani Sapkota of Chandranigahapur-6, were injured in the accident.
Police have arrested Shyam Bahadur Titung, 53, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-7 for further investigation.
