CHANDRAPUR Dec 12: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Kulman Ghising, has urged the public to elect the right leadership in the upcoming election. The interim government is mandated to conduct the House of Representatives (HoR) election on March 5, 2026.
Speaking at a programme in Chandrapur-8 on Friday, Ghising — who also serves as the Minister for Urban Development — said that capable political leadership was essential to bring meaningful change to the country.

“The right candidates must be elected through the upcoming vote,” he said, adding that this was the right moment to choose capable leaders. According to him, Nepal urgently needs leaders who love the country and are committed to development.
Acknowledging the high public expectations from the interim government formed after the Gen Z movement, he assured, “We will show results by completing the tasks that are achievable in the remaining three months.”
On another note, the Minister said actions were being taken against construction entrepreneurs and contractors, pledging to hold wrongdoers in Rautahat accountable and accelerate development works.
He also recalled the major transformation in the electricity sector during his tenure as Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, saying, “Now the country needs similar radical transformation in all sectors.”
On the occasion, he mentioned that a deep boring project worth Rs 18 billion is currently being implemented under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
